Her background, growing up on a South Auckland kiwifruit orchard, probably biased her towards the industry she describes as "tangible". "You can go out and see the trees and the people working with them - it's not all just numbers."

But she's no hayseed - she's thriving on building a career with Auckland-based international forestry company, Rayonier New Zealand. "In forestry", she says," there's always something happening, it's a very competitive environment."
