"Army Brat" Carwyn Herewini's seen a bit of the world - he attended the NZ forces school in Singapore where his father was.

Training opportunities and career security "a little like the Army but without the being yelled at or shot at" decided him on a career in the Forest industries.

"I like this industry" the board quality tester, at Fletcher's Kumeu Wood Panels plant, says. "And it was a pleasant eye-opener that I'm making more money than some of my mates with degrees!"
