WORLD OF WOOD …

A wood industry strategy game with a bird’s eye view of the landscape. You will have three minutes to make the most points. There is time pressure with a conspicuous clock. Points are made by making choices about land use and infrastructure which have associated values.

You will be able to build a recreational track and / or put in a harvesting crew. Or you might move in a sawmill or a furniture plant, or export logs from a port. Each decision will result in a social, economic and environmental value being made, which will add or reduce your points.

Playing this game will give you an appreciation of the complexities of the wood industry, and the careers available within it. This will be available to play at expos and on the website...
